Examples of our Web Design and Development Packages.

These are some examples of the types of web presence that we can provide. You'll notice that there aren't any "fixed" prices here - not because they're high, but because the work that we do is highly tailored to our clients' individual needs, and we don't like to confine people to specific price bands before we even know what it is that they want.

So why a "packages" page? To give you a very general summary of the categories of web work that we can carry out. Of course, if you're looking for something not listed here, have any more questions, or are confused by any of these terms, please see our Frequently Asked Questions page. Remember that all our sites come with 1 year's free hosting as standard!

Static Sites

The simplest form of website, a static site provides text and images which will never (or very rarely) be changing. These are very lightweight and efficient, and are ideal for content which will not be updated regularly. This type of site is highly recommended for users who demand fast loading times and search engine friendliness over all else.

A static site is typically £500 - £1,000 depending on complexity.

Content Management Systems (CMSs)

A Content Management System is a type of website which allows the owner to update their own content from anywhere on the web, using a standard web browser. Among the most popular are Joomla! and Drupal, open source solutions written in a highly flexible and effiicient language known as PHP. They have an interface which is extremely easy to use and can be used to edit existing content or add new content from scratch.

A CMS site is typically £750 - £1,250 depending on requirements.

Blogs

A weblog (or "blog" for short) allows a company or individual to share their latest news with the world. Wordpress is an example of a blogging platform which is flexible and easy to use.

A blog site is typically £250 - £500.

eCommerce

An ecommerce site allows your business to provide goods and services through a secure, easy-to-use website. Customers can pay with a credit card, purchase order, or cash on collection, and products and orders are managed by the store owner through an intuitive yet powerful "back end" interface. Popular e-commerce platforms include osCommerce and Magento.

An eCommerce site is typically £1,500 - £4,000 depending on complexity, number of products, and expected traffic.

Hosting

After the first 12 months, hosting is typically £100pa for a smaller site, rising to £500pa for a busy eCommerce site.
